Due to the implementation of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), new requirements apply to users located in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). These changes affect both access to SageMaster and the availability of connected exchanges.
These requirements apply to all users located in:
- EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
- EFTA States (EEA Members): Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway.
What is changing?
KYC requirement
- KYC verification is now mandatory to use SageMaster for EU & EEA users
- New users cannot access the platform without completing KYC
- Existing users have a 3-month grace period starting from 19th April 2026
After the grace period ends:
- Access to platform features will be limited
Exchange availability
- Some exchanges may become unavailable for EU & EEA users
- Availability depends on exchange regulatory compliance
- Exchange access may change over time
What actions are required?
To continue using SageMaster without interruptions:
- Complete KYC verification
- Check whether your exchange is available in your region
- Switch to a compliant exchange if necessary
Why an exchange may not be available
Even after completing KYC, some exchanges may not be accessible due to:
- Regulatory restrictions in the EU/EEA
- Exchange compliance status
- Exchange-imposed limitations
